This is our review of Bil-Jac Liver Treats for Dogs. Catherine gives these treats 3 paws up!
A few days ago, we were pleased to receive in the mail a box from Bil-Jac. Bil-Jac is a dog food company focused on “more real meat and high quality protein, a small batch slow-cook process and Omega 3 and 6 fatty acids…” Our box contained a couple of packages of their Original Recipe Bil-Jac Liver Treats for Dogs. Catherine loves her treats, so we were excited to try these out.
The main ingredients in this treat are chicken and chicken liver. Most dogs absolutely love liver, and these treats were no exception. Catherine really enjoyed them. She didn’t go totally bonkers, like she does for our fresh, homemade liver treats, but she was excited (which is something I can’t say for many other treats we’ve tried).
As far as size goes, the pieces were a little on the large side for a Yorkie, so you may want to break them in half, however, they are very soft and easy to chew, and Catherine did just fine with whole pieces.
As far as nutrition and ingredients, these treats are a good source of protein, which comes from chicken. They do contain wheat, for any of you have have a Yorkie with a wheat allergy.
All-in-all, we like this treat for times when we don’t have any of our homemade treats around and for a bit of variety in Catherine’s treats.
